Italy Wants Azerbaijan to Be Part of European Structures

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–"Europe wants Azerbaijan to participate in its structures," Italy’s deputy foreign minister Umberto Ranieri told Azerbaijani foreign minister Vilayat Guliev during a one-day visit to Baku.

According to Itar-Tass–a delegation of senior experts from the Council of Europe have arrived in Baku to consider issues regarding Azerbaijan’s accession to the Council of Europe.

The Italian diplomat announced that the Council of Europe–and particularly–Italy that is currently chairing it–are interested in the regulation of Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over the Nagorno Karabakh.

"The council of Europe appreciates the official Baku’s efforts aimed at the regulation of this very complicated issue," said Ranieri.
