Armenia’s Prime Minister Visits Karabakh

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Armenia’s prime minister Andranik Markarian set off on a three-day working visit to Nagorno Karabakh.

During his visit the prime minister will participate in events devoted to the declaration of Karabakh independence. He is also expected to take part in a ceremony in Shoushi–devoted to the opening of a monument to the former prime minister of Armenia Vazgen Sarkisian–who was slain in last October 27 parliament attack.

On September 2–the Armenian delegation will participate in a ceremony devoted to independence declaration that is to be held by Karabakh president Arkady Ghukasian. An agreement on cooperation between the governmen’s of Armenia and Karabakh is also expected to be signed during the visit.
