Jean Ter Merkerian Performs in Bratislava

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–It has been almost ten days since Armenia’s national flag has been fluttering on the buildings of concert halls in Bratislava. Jean Ter-Merkerian–a violinist of world-wide fame–has given performances during the international festival of classical music in Bratislava. At the big concert hall of the Philharmony of Slovakia–under the baton of the renowned Polish conductor Tadeush Stprugala–the violinist performed Aram Khachaturian’s concerto. The concert was a great success–and Jean Ter-Merkerian performed an encore of two compositions.

The organizer of the concert–the ARMES firm–held a banquet in honor of the renowned musicians. Attending were members of the Slovak Government and Parliament–ambassadors–representatives of the Armenian community of Austria–guests from Austria–Poland–Czeck Republic and Hungary.
