Nuclear Power Plant to Resume Operation

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The Armenian Nuclear Power Plant will resume its operations by the end of November–energy minister Karen Galustian told Armenpress. The plant was brought to a halt on July 29 for regular maintenance work. The minister said that despite some financial problems the repair work went according to the schedule.

The minister said that the volume of this year’s maintenance work is bigger than that of last year. The government allocates 600 million drams to the station per month. It is expected that the share of energy produced by the plant during a year will reach 2 billion kilowatts.
