Investigation into Explosion at Prosecutor’s House Closed

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The criminal case launched in connection with an explosion at the Yerevan home of Armenia’s chief military prosecutor Gagik Jahangirian late Tuesday–August 29 has been closed because of the law-enforcement agencies’ failure to discover the perpetrator.

The blast had occurred in the basement shortly before midnight–blowing out its iron doors and breaking windows.

The unknown device exploded 10 to 15 minutes after the prosecutor came home. Jahangirian is the prosecutor leading the criminal investigation into last year’s October 27 parliament shootings.
