Syria to Help Armenia Overcome Drought Aftereffects

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The Syrian government has announced the release of 10,000 tons of wheat and 500 tons of potato to Armenia to overcome the aftereffects of the drought that hit the country’s agriculture last summer. The announcement was made in Damascus by Syrian prime minister Mohammed Miro in the course of his meeting with Armenian ambassador to Syria Levon Sarkisian. According to the Armenian foreign ministry–issues related to further development of bilateral Armenian-Syrian relations–creation of joint ventures and proper preparation of the second session of Armenia-Syria intergovernmental economic commission were also discussed.
