YEREVAN (Armenpress–Noyan Tapan)–Armenian Ambassador to Lebanon Arman Navasardian was received December 4 by the President of Lebanon General Emil Lahoud. According to the Armenian foreign ministry–Armenia-Lebanon related issues–as well as details of the Lebanese President’s upcoming visit to Armenia were discussed in the course of the meeting. The creation of a free trade zone between the two countries was also discussed. Ambassador Navasardian briefed President Lahoud on the events taking place in Armenia and Lebanon dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of Christianity being adopted by Armenia’s. General Lahoud welcomed Armenia’s intention to participate and assured his country’s support. Navasardian also met with various Lebanese ministers the following day–and was handed an invitation on behalf of Lebanese Minister of Defense Halil Hrauhi to Armenian Minister of Defense Serge Sargssian to pay an official visit to Lebanon.
