YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–According to Eduard Hovhannissian–ARF Bureau member of Armenia–the principle of complementarity is unacceptable to a weak country such as Armenia.
Hovhannissian is very critical of Armenian foreign policy–asserting that Armenia has not taken a consistent stance on its relations with the United States and Russia–and is certain that the aim to derive a benefit from both nations will not be a success
According to Hovhannissian–the only policy that remains is choosing a side which corresponds to the defense of Armenia’s national interests–wherein one side must be chosen. This side–he believes–is the Russia-China-Iran bloc.
