ARF Reluctant to Discuss Parliament’s Regrouping Until “Unity” Bloc’s Demise

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The problem of the parliament’s political majority is a problem of only the "Unity" bloc. This opinion was expressed by leader of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation’s parliamentary faction Aghvan Vardanian in a press briefing on April 5. "We won’t initiate new discussions on the issue of majority," he said. Only if it is stated that the "Unity" bloc does not exist one can speak of new blocs–of a new re-alignment of forces in the legislature," Vardanian emphasized.

In connection with discussions during the special meeting of the National Assembly on the issue of power grid privatization–the ARF representative said that "the activity of some deputies reaching absurdity was absolutely devoid of grounds."
