Mike Feuer Garners ANC PAC Endorsement in LA City Attorney Race

LOS ANGELES–The Armenian National Committee-Political Action Committee has announced its endorsement of Los Angeles City Councilmember Mike Feuer for Los Angeles City Attorney.

Feuer–who during his 6-year tenure on the LA City Council has become one of the staunchest advocates for the Armenian American community–is the leading candidate in the City Attorney’s race. Feuer’s record on issues facing the Armenian American community of Los Angeles is one of continued support for a variety of concerns–including the proper recognition and affirmation of the Armenian Genocide. Feuer also played an instrumental role in the designation of a portion of heavily Armenian populated Hollywood as "Little Armenia."

With the commitment to reflect the diversity of Los Angeles in his staff–Feuer has pledged to continue his open door policy as City Attorney–and to ensure that the mosaic of Los Angeles is represented in his administration.

"Mike Feuer’s unwavering support for issues of concern to Armenian Americans in the City is testament to his desire to represent all segmen’s of the community in Los Angeles," explained ANC-East San Fernando Valley Chapter Chairman Thomas Azaian. "He has pledged to continue his accessible and responsive method of representation–and to construct a staff that’s reflective of Los Angeles’ diversity–which includes a large and prosperous Armenian American community."

"The decision to endorse Mike Feuer is a result of Mr. Feuer’s firm commitment to fair advocacy and representation," explained Karo Khanjian–ANC-Hollywood Chapter Chairman. "He has stated to the Armenian American community and the ANC that he is willing to continue his distinguished record of service with our community and the City–and based on his record–we are confident that our relationship will continue to grow in the coming years."

Los Angeles residents will go to the polls on Tuesday–June 5. Armenian Americans are encouraged to cast their ballots for Mike Feuer for City Attorney.
