GLENDALE–The Armenian American Chamber of Commerce US–under the auspices of the Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles–announces its first Armenian Expo to be held on Saturday and Sunday–June 16-17–at the Glendale Civic Auditorium.
The purpose of the Expo is to provide an opportunity for Armenian businesses and industries to showcase their products to the general public and local businesses. Over 40 businesses from industries such as footwear–textile–food and beverage–agriculture and software and information technology are expected to participate from Armenia–with their affiliates and their trading partners from the US. This expo also provides a rare opportunity to strengthen Armenia’s export economy while building Armenian-American economic ties.
To help alert the LA area about this expo–the Armenian Ambassador to the US–Dr. Arman Kirakossian–will preside at the opening ceremony. Also attending will be Congressman Frank Pallone from New Jersey–and representing Governor Gray Davis of California will be Lon S. Hatamiya–Secretary of the California Trade and Commerce Agency.
