OSCE Co Chairs Discuss Karabakh Regulation in Malta

MOSCOW (Armenpress)–A statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry said the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group for Nagorno-Karabakh discussed prospects for the settlement of the conflict at their consultations in Valetta–Malta–on Saturday.

After the consultations–the Russian–US and French co-chairmen made a joint statement. Russia was represented by First Deputy Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Trubnikov. The Russian diplomat also met with Maltese President Guido De Marco. "The conversation was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere," he said.

The co-chairmen confirmed their readiness to support the Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents "in their efforts to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as soon as possible–and restore peace and stability in the region."
