Concert Dedicated to 1700th Anniversary Held in New York

NEW YORK–Konstantin Petrosian–an Armenian composer who currently resides in Providence–US–has created a collection of songs dedicated to 1700th Anniversary of Armenia’s adoption of Christianity as state religion.

According to Arch. Nerses Pozapalian–"Tiramayr,"a song from the collection–was performed at the St. Sarkis Church of New York by Anahit Zakarian (USA)–accompanied by the author.

The composition was included in a program presented by Hamazkain Choir and Orchestra led by Vagharshak Ohanian and Jakob Logian respectively.

Aram Chopanian (USA) and Lilit Grigorian performed at the concert–which also featured works of other modern and classical composers. Konstantin Petrosian’s compositions were also recently performed at the New York Hall of Science.
