Second Session of Armenian Indian Intergovernmental Session Opened Today in Yerevan

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The second session of the joint Indian-Armenian intergovernmental commission opened today in Yerevan July 25-27. Regular consultations between the foreign ministries of India and Armenia are also to take place outside the regular sessions of the conference.

Armenia’s foreign ministry told reporters that a delegation of senior Indian officials–led by Mr. R. Kalhay–who is the Indian co-chairman of the commission has arrived in Yerevan to participate in the session.

The Armenian co-chairman of the commission is deputy foreign minister T. Margarian. The Armenian foreign ministry said that trade–economy–information technologies–education–science and health-related issues will be in the focus of the session.

Two agreemen’s–namely on Armenian-Indian intergovernmental commission on cooperation in trade–economy–technologies–science and culture and on cooperation between Armenian-Indian government affiliated standardization–measurement and certification committees are expected to be signed.
