Armentel Opens Internet Cafe

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The opening of an Internet-cafe by "" took place in Etchmiadzin on August 1. This is the first Internet-cafe to be established directly by the telephone company and not an Internet company. According to Chief Executive Officer Nicos Jorgulas–the opening of the cafe in Etchmiadzin was a contribution from the company to the events on the celebration of the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity.

Jorgulas said that starting on August 15–ArmenTel will open another 13 cafes–including 4 in Yerevan. Prices for services at ArmenTel Internet-cafes are lower than usual. He also said that cafes with 20 computers cost $70,000.
