Houses for Refugees Under Construction in Ijevan

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The construction of a residential building–sponsored by the UN Norwegian Committee for Refugees Armenia Office–was completed in Ijevan last year. Twenty-three refugee families will be provided with apartmen’s in the building.

Head of the Social Security Department in Ijevan Mayor’s Office–Narine Chagarian–said that the construction of another residential building started in Ijevan thanks to the funds provided by the UNHCR. The funds provided by UNHCR will be directed to the construction of cottages for the refugee families from the villages of Debatavan and Ptgavan who have been living in temporary lodgings for 3 years. Twenty-three cottages will be constructed in Ptgavan.
