Exhibition of Armenian Products to Be Held in Syria

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–An exhibition of Armenian goods will be held in the Syrian capital of Damascus in October of this year. It will feature products from various Armenia industries. Business meetings and negotiations will be arranged outside the exhibition–and presumably–agreemen’s regarding export of Armenian goods to Syria will be reached during the days of the exhibition.

Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia–Samvel Sharbatian–told reporters that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is negotiating with various enterprises within Armenia regarding their participation in the exhibition. Some businessmen may refuse to take part in the exhibition for lack of floating assets–even though the Armenian government has offered to cover all the travel expenses. The Syrian’s will provide the Armenian entrepreneurs with exhibition pavilions also free of charge.
