Armenian Delegation Holds Meetings in Syria

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Armenian Minister of Defense Serge Sargssian held a meeting with Syrian Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro–who stated that he would like to intensify bilateral relations with Armenia.

The Armenian defense minister agreed with Miro’s opinion that the bilateral relations are well-based and further development will promote the establishment of closer relations between the two peoples. The sides also discussed the issues of mutual interest and discussed the possibility of further cooperation in different areas of interests.

The Armenian delegation headed by Serge Sargssian visited the city of Kuneytra in the south of Syria and attended a meeting with the city administration. Sargssian also held a meeting with Chairman of the Syrian National Assembly Abd al Kader Kadurra. The two pointed out the benefits of a high level of the bilateral relations and the need for its development.
