Sculptors to Take Part in Symposium in Armenia

YEREVAN (Armenpress)– Saro Sarukhanian–a well-known sculptor famous for organizing open-air symposiums of sculptors in the Armenian town of Ijevan announced today his intentions to resume the annual symposium after a ten year break. This time the symposium will take place in Yerevan.

Sculptors will arrive in Armenia from seven countries including Karabakh–and will join 12 local sculptors to produce 20 sculptures which will be donated to Armenia as gifts for the 1700th anniversary of Armenia’s adoption of Christianity.

The sculptors will work for 45 days. Though the symposium is to take place September 4–some of the sculptors ( from Japan and Germany) have already arrived in Armenia and started sculpting.
