YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–For the first time since Armenia’s Independence–an Armenian construction company has won an international tender. The Arpa-Sevan company of Armenia won the tender of Aleppo-Latakia railroad tunnel reconstruction–according to the Aleppo (Syria) Railroad Administration.
Arpa-Sevan’s President Hakob Hakobyan told reporters that the tunnel is projected to be built in three years.
All the construction equipment will be moved from Armenia and all the works will be planned and supervised by Armenian specialists–however–the workers will be hired locally.
The construction will commence after the contact with the Aleppo Railroad Administration tender commission is signed.
