YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A concert of the pianist Nare Argamanian–12–from Armenia–took place at the Armenian Embassy in Washington DC on October 26 as part of the celebrations of the 10th Anniversary of Armenia’s independence. The concert was held as part of the "Music in Armenian Embassies" series.
According to the Foreign Ministry’s Public Relations Department–in his opening remarks–Ambassador Arman Kirakossian hailed the former Ambassador of the US to Armenia Michael Lemmon–who recently returned from Armenia–and expressed his gratitude and gratefulness to Lemmon for the joint work performed at the proper level. Then he introduced the musician and the organization that had invited her.
Nare Argamanian’s visit to the US is sponsored by the Armenian Evangelic Mission. This organization founded in the state of California–is carrying out a number of humanitarian programs in Armenia–in particular in the earthquake-damaged northern provinces of the country.
