YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–At its December 13 session–the Armenian Parliament considered the decision of the Tender Commission to establish a international tender void–considering the fact that no tender bids for the privatization of the power grids were received by the deadline.
The Parliament also decided have the Energy Ministry merge the Armenian Energy Network–the Yerevan Energy Network–the Northern Energy Network–the Southern Energy Network–and the Central Energy Network into one as means to reform the energy system in Armenia.
The Information and Public Relations Department told reporters that the merger must be competed in the third quarter of 2002.
