BAKU (Armenpress)–According to observers–President of Iran Muhammad Hatemi will visit Azerbaijan. This visit is expected to be realized during the Iranian president’s visits to Caspian and Middle Asian countries–on the eve of Caspian countries’ forum to be held in Ashghabad on April 23-24.
The director of Caspian Research Center of Harvard University Brenda Schafer was quoted by the Azeri 525 Gazet saying that the criticism of the last diplomatic actions of Iranian government concerning Caspian Sea by the Iranian Parliament evidences the possibility of concessions. She also said that some contradictions concerning the Caspian Sea exist between Tehran and Moscow also.
According to the newspaper–the co-chairman of Azeri Social-Democratic party Zardusht Alizade also does not exclude the possibility of the Iranian president’s visit to Baku. He said that "regular misunderstandings" in Azeri-Iranian relations make obstacles in the process of development of bilateral economic–cultural and military relations.
According to Alizade "from the point of oil reserves the division of Caspian Sea does not play any important role for Azerbaijan." He suggested to leave issue on Araz-Alov-Sharg oil-field for the future.
