"During the last three years our science department has undergone significant changes–the results of which are apparent today," said Pilibos principal Viken Yacoubian–who praised the faculty of the science department for the diligent manner in which the subject is passed on to the students.

The aforementioned projects will compete in the California State Science Fair–scheduled to be held at the LA Science and Exposition Center on May 21.

Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian school held its qualifying science fair in March–with the participation of students from sixth to eighth grade and ninth to 11th grade student groups.

More than 200 projects were exhibited from the two groups and a leading scientist from Boeing Corp. was on hand to lead the judges panel of the competition.

The judges panel chose 12 projects from the younger group and 11 from the older group participants. These projects were displayed at the recent LA County Science Fair.
