Details of Kocharian Aliyev Meeting Unknown

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The Czech Republic Foreign Ministry neither confirmed nor denied press reports claiming that the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan may meet in Prague later this month. A senior official of the ministry was quoted by news agencies saying that he has no information about any high-level Azeri-Armenian meeting–but said Prague was ready to host participants of any talks seeking to end the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Personal representatives of the two presidents–deputy foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan–met earlier this month near Prague.

A spokesman for Armenian President Robert Kocharian was quoted by RFE/RL saying that the two presidents have planned a meeting soon–but the venue and date of the meeting are not yet specified.

Mass media also cited US Ambassador in Yerevan John Ordway who recently said that the US has all grounds to push the peaceful process on Karabakh ahead.
