YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–On June 5–within the framework of his working visit to Brussels–Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian met with Chairman of the European Convent Jescar d’Esten–whose office attends to issues of expansion and structural changes of the European Union.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry’s Public Relations Department–during the meeting the sides discussed the current level of the EU’s relations with Armenia and the Caucasus–the EU approaches to the Caucasian region in the context of modern and future expansion and further ways of deepening Armenia-EU cooperation.
The Chairman of the European Convent presented the course and developmen’s of the EU expansion process. Minister Oskanian–for his part–presented Armenia’s opinion and vision of the future place and role of the state in European architecture–as well as Armenia’s and the Caucasian region’s expectations from European structures.
Oskanian met with Chairman of the Liberal Party of the European Parliament Watson. The Armenian minister also visited the Hay Dat (Armenian Cause) Museum at the EU where he met with the leaders of the Committee and the Executive of the European Forum Office based in Brussels. The main subject of the meeting was the European agenda for Armenia.
