“Ararat” to Be Shown At Moscow Film Festival

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The latest film by Canadian Armenian director Atom Egoyan–titled "Ararat" will be shown at the International Movie Festival in Moscow–the Russian ORT TV station reported.

The film–that tells a story about the Armenian Genocide of 1915–has become well known after Turkish efforts to derail its showing at the Cannes Film Festival. Turkish efforts seemed to have helped disseminate the story of the Armenian Genocide to a worldwide audience.

The film will be released in the United States this autumn.
