Ex President May Run At 2003 Elections

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The press secretary of Levon Ter-Petrosian–Levon Zurabian–was quoted by the Russian Interfax news agency saying that his chief may run for presidency at the 2003 spring elections.

Leader of the Pan-Armenian National Movement (HHSh) Levon Ter-Petrosian was forced to resign in 1998 because of disagreemen’s that split the country’s leadership on ways to settle the conflict over Nagorno Karabakh.

The press secretary also said Ter-Petrosian–"who has abandoned politics–is currently writing a book about connections between the Cilician Armenia and the Crusaders."
