Armenian Miniature Exhibition Opens in PACE

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–An exhibition entitled "Armenian Miniature in 9th-14th Centuries," opened on June 24 at the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) hall–organized by the Armenian permanent representatives’ office in the Council of Europe.

PACE Chairman Peter Schider–Chairman of CE General Secretariat culture–science and education issues Bendik Rugaas–leaders of delegations and deputies of different countries–representatives of Strasbourg City Hall and Elzas Armenian Community were present at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

Schider praised the exhibition and considered it to be another proof of Armenia’s’ great contribution to the establishment of European cultural heritage.

Armenia’s permanent representative–Aambassador Ter-Stepanian underlined the importance of Armenian miniature in the process of the development of Armenian culture.

He said that Armenia–being in the crossroads of civilizations–was able to develop its cultural relations and maintain its cultural variety. The exhibition will open until June 28.
