ARF Announcement Stresses Stability and Unity

"The ARF believes in the power and wisdom of the Armenian people" YEREVAN–In an appeal to all political forces–presidential candidates and supporters–the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) urged voters to enter polls on February 19 with a clear conscience and integrity–in deciding the fate of Armenia’s development.

Keeping in mind the present and future–the appeal stated: "We should not be divided and hostile toward each other after the elections–since our internal dissension would greatly benefit our enemies. We must instead become stronger and more united in order to protect the stability and security of our country."

In conveying its support for incumbent Robert Kocharian "with great confidence and certainty," the ARF stressed the necessity of peace and security–"We should continue what we started: to defend the achievemen’s of the Artsakh Liberation Struggle–to increase the international authority of Armenia–to develop the economy–to resolve Armenia’s social problems–and to establish law–order and justice in the country."

The statement expressed confidence that Armenia would become a much more organized and just society in the coming five years–with each family experiencing the positive trend.

"We call on everyone to vote for Robert Kocharian–to stand by his side and to build the Armenia our ancestors and we had dreamed of through ages; the ARF believes in the power and wisdom of the Armenian people."
