ARF’s Mkrtchyan Balayan Campaign in Syunik

KAPAN (Armenpress)–Within the framework of pre-election campaigning–two Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) candidates running for parliament seats–the Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan–and parliament deputy Kim Balayan–held meetings in Syunik.

ARF’s campaign platform was presented at a meeting with area constituents on Thursday. Addressing the party’s past–Mkrtchyan emphasized that during its 113 years of existence–the ARF has clung to its ideology and remains respected by its rivals.

Urging citizens to take the elections seriously–the minister stressed–"In reality–we will vote for our way of life for the next four years."

Mkrtchyan said that programs presented by all contesting parties are good individually–"but in order to make an accurate decision–it is necessary to put them side by side and compare them."

Considering that most in the audience were from the education sector–Mkrtchyan talked about the education system–implementation of education loan programs–school improvemen’s–and teacher salaries.

In addition to the party’s election platform–parliament member Kim Balayan also addressed proposed constitutional reforms on which citizens will vote along with parliamentary elections on May 25. He called for massive participation in the upcoming elections and referendum–and urged everyone to vote their conscience.
