Catholicosate Establishes Richard and Tina Carolan Publishing Fund

ANTELIAS–A fund to publish the works of young writers has been established–under the auspices of the Catholicosate of The Great House of Cilicia in Antelias–Lebanon–and through a donation by benefactor Tina Carolan. The $200,000 fund is in memory of Mrs. Carolan’s late husband Richard–and will serve to promote the cultural and historical literature of young Diaspora writers.

The Catholicos announced the formation of a five-member committee–headed by Dr. Zaven Messerlian–to administer the selection process. During its first meeting on January 31–the committee established rules and procedures for submission of works to be accepted until the end of March 2004.
