Armenia’s Elected to Iran’s Parliament

Two ethnic Armenia’s were elected to Iran’s parliament–following the February 20 elections. The Armenian community of northern Iran elected engineer Gevorg Vardan–while Armenia’s in southern Iran chose Robert Beglarian to represent their community in parliament. Both won with over 90 percent of the vote.

Jewish–Assyrian and Zoroastrian communities also elected representatives to parliament.
