BEIRUT–Armenian National Committee (ANC) chapters from throughout the Middle East met in Lebanon on October 21–to consult on a variety of topics and to coordinate their activities.
On behalf of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation’s Bureau–Megerdich Megerdichian opened the meeting by welcoming delegates from various Middle Eastern communities–and stressed the importance of working together to achieve their goals.
Giro Manoyan–who heads the ANC Central office in Yerevan–described the accomplishmen’s and undertakings of the ANC regions (Washington–DC–Brussels–Moscow–Armenia).
Giving a detailed account of political developmen’s in the Middle East–Hovhannes Taslakian described the evolution of regional conflicts–their effects on the world–and international factors that influence the Middle East. A discussion ensued on the challenges of the region’s ANC chapters. The meetings–being held in Beirut–are still going on.
