YEREVAN (Armenpress)–An Armenian Trade representation will open in Washington and thus, Armenia will have trade representations in Brussels, Geneva, Moscow and Los Angeles, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian told parliament on Tuesday. The minister announced that the ministry intended to increase the diplomatic staff in foreign countries in order to accommodate the new trade endeavors in the various countries. Oskanian also said Armenia was planning to purchase real estate to house its embassies, estimating the purchase of two buildings per year. The minister explained that the possibility of opening an embassy in Hungary was being discussed and plans were underway for the opening of embassies in Brazil and a consulate in Batumi in 2007.
