Parliament Approves Changes to Dual Citizenship Law

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–By a vote of 65 to five, and no abstentions, Armenian lawmakers, who convened an extraordinary session of the parliament Tuesday, approved a package of bills related to dual citizenship in its first reading. The bills envision a set of changes to Armenian laws on citizenship, mandatory military service, criminal code and others. The package is expected to be put to the second reading during the extraordinary session. The session is to debate also more than 50 draft laws and motions.
