Armenia Has Sincere Desire to Establish Peace in Karabagh Says ARF’s Manoyan

YEREVAN (Armenpress)– Armenian Revolutionary Federation’s political director Giro Manoyan told a press conference on Tuesday, that the Armenian side in the Karabagh conflict, in a sincere effort to regulate the conflict settlement process, has made certain concessions. The other party to the conflict, Azerbaijan, only impedes the peace talks, stressed Manoyan. "Azerbaijan is not interested in the negotiations, particularly within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group; it resorts to other tactics and distorts the facts. Our role remains to initiate peace, not to get diverted by denying Arzerbaijan’s lies." He said the Karabagh talks will stall not only because of elections in Armenia and Azerbaijan, but also upcoming elections in the US, Russia and Mountainous Karabagh. He also pointed to international efforts by ARF regions to help Karabagh, which include US efforts to ensure direct humanitarian assistance, and European efforts to ensure Karabagh’s right to self-determination.
