Youth World Chess Championship Kicks Off in Yerevan

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Armenian grand master Arman Pashikian Wednesday celebrated his first victory at the world chess championship under 20 years old which kicked off in Yerevan. He beat his Russian rival Mikhail Alaguzov. Another Armenian chess player Samvel Ter-Sahakian played draw, Hrayr Simonian was defeated by Chinese grand master Van Hao.
Among the girls Anahit Kharatian was defeated by Bayutagh Mongholtur, Lusine Alaverdian by Sumiya Svaminatan from Japan and Diana Mnatsakanian by Gulmira Davletova from Russia.
