BAKU (Armenpress)–U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Bryza, who is also the American cochairman of the OSCE Minsk group, said in Baku that Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents may sign a framework agreement for a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh before next spring.
"There is a possibility that before the next presidential election in Armenia that will take place next spring, heads of Armenia and Azerbaijan sign a framework agreement on the Karabakh issue," Bryza said to Azerbaijani journalist today at Baku airport after a series of meetings with the Azerbaijani leadership.
Earlier Bryza and the other two cochairmen from Russia and France negotiated the peaceful solution of the conflict with Armenian leaders in Yerevan. They are expected to revisit Yerevan Saturday to present to Armenia’s leadership the outcome of their negotiations in Baku.
