Head of Diocese, Ambassador Visit Armenian-Populated Region

AKHALKALAKI (Armenpress)–Archbishop Vazgen Mirzakhanian, the Prelate of the Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Church, and Armenian ambassador to Georgia, Hrach Silvanian, were in the Armenian-populated region of Samtskhe-Javakheti in Georgia Saturday to celebrate Easter with the community.
The two met with regional administration leaders on Sunday. Ambassador Silvanian hailed the efforts of the government of Georgia to carry out a set of social and economic programs in the region.
The senior clergyman and the ambassador also visited the town of Ninotsminda.
