Krikorian to Run for Congress in Ohio

CINCINNATI–The Hamilton County Board of Elections made it official today validating the results of our successful campaign petition drive to place Madeira businessman David H. Krikorian on the ballot this November for United States Congress representing Ohio’s second Congressional district. David and his team of forty petition circulators gathered more than 3,000 signatures from the district in less than 60-days.
“I set out this past January to find out if the people in our district feel as I do that our system is broken and that our current representation in Congress is incapable of supporting meaningful changes to make our lives better. Over 3,000 voters assured us of the need for better representation. The current representative is a rubber stamp for failed policies, and her opponent has proven to be an inadequate challenger. Their respective party line agendas are out of touch with the realities on the ground and the desires of the voters. There has been an overwhelming response to the need for my candidacy,” said Krikorian. “My thanks to the thousands of people who put their name on the line to give us the chance to do something different and better than what we are used to.”
David’s candidacy is a response to veteran Washington political reporter Stuart Rothenberg, who described our congressional race between the same two candidates from the last election as a “nightmare,” that no matter who wins, the voters lose.
“We need to change the conversation regarding the issues our country is facing and how we as citizens plan to address the challenges,” said David. Home prices are falling, foreclosures are soaring, food and energy inflation is raging, nearly one in ten Ohioans is now on food stamps, our financial system suffers from a host of problems stemming from greed and lax regulations and we are bogged down in a mismanaged war of choice in Iraq. "We must ask ourselves where we want to be as a nation in 10 to 15 years, set goals and work towards them. I’m focused on continuing the legacies of Rob Portman and John Glenn ‘s men who saw the value of independent thinking to ensure that we lived in a better, healthier community," said David.
Krikorian is an experienced, successful entrepreneur, business owner and former corporate manager at some of America’s finest companies. His education and training are in Economics, Finance and business management. “I will provide honest assessmen’s, creative solutions and capable representation for the people of Ohio’s second district. I will work for the needs and desires of the voters, not for the Washington lobbies or elite. That is what our founding fathers intended when they formed a more perfect union that was %u218Of the People, By the people and For the people,’” said Krikorian.
Krikorian will be opening his campaign headquarters later this month. For more information and daily campaign updates, please go to our website at http://www.KrikorianForCongress.comKrikorian For Congress
