Prime Minister Creates Ministerial Committees, Promises Greater Efficiency

YEREVAN (Armenpress)-In a move to further improve the mechanisms of Government, Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan Thursday established four new ministerial committees that will meet weekly to determine government agenda items.
The four committees will deal with financial and economic issues, Social issues, Regional development and ecology issues, and state and legal issues.
Sargsyan told the members of the government on Thursday that all issues which are to be discussed at government sessions will have to initially go through these committees, which will meet every Friday.
"Only by collective thinking can we be able to work as a common team," Sargsyan stressed. "The efficiency of the government is contingent on the pace of the ongoing reforms."
The formation of the four Ministerial Committees is part of a more comprehensive program for administrative reform developed for Armenia by Great Britain.
