Popular Turkish Singer Reclaims Armenian Identity

ISTANBUL (Marmara)–Popular Turkish singer Kazim Akinci, a musician from Malatya, who lives with his mother, has decided to change his first and last name.
Having discovered his Armenian origin, Kazim appealed to necessary judicial bodies to change his name to Sarkis Nersesyan and have his religion be listed as Christian.
He explained that the process would not pose any problems with Turkish authorities.
