LOS ANGELES– KCET will air an evening of programming on Tuesday, showcasing the culture and history of Armenia as part of its winter fundraising drive. The evening begins at 7:30 p.m. with Huell Howser as he explores the wonderful tastes and aromas of the holiday season in %u218Visiting with Huell Howser’ – “Armenian Christmas Meal.”
Former Mayor of the city of Glendale and California State Transportation Commissioner Larry Zarian will appear live at the KCET studios throughout the evening, along with KCET personality Jordan Baker. Together they will introduce and discuss the evenings line-up, which includes %u218Lost Treasures of Christianity: The Ancient Monumen’s of Armenia’ (8:00 ‘s 8:45 p.m.), %u218Jews in Armenia’ (8:55 ‘s 9:25 p.m.) and %u218My Son Shall Be Armenian,’ (9:35 ‘s 10:50 p.m.), the story of six Canadians of Armenian descent who travel to present-day Syria and Armenia to retrace the steps of ancestors who died during the Armenian genocide of 1915.
