Artists for Kids to Host Flamenco Night

GLENDALE–Artists for Kids announced an evening of Flamenco, featuring Sarkis, his band and Flemenco dancers Friday, March 27, 8pm at Stars Theatre in Glendale.
The concert will feature a special guest comedian Chuko.

Sarkis Turgutian climbed to the peak of the music profession in his homeland Armenia by playing more than 700 performances with the Armenian Philharmonic in Europe and Middle East as the solo guitarist. He was awarded The Laureate of Music, one of the highest artistic awards bestowed by the former USSR.

In the States he performed in such venues as Hermosa Civic Theatre, ICAAN Gallery in Manhattan Beach, Sacred Grounds in San Pedro, UC Riverside, Inland Empire Wine and Jazz Festival, Palos Verdes Country Club, Catalina Bar and Grill etc. He has also appeared on TV Network Leased and KSCI.

The gifted composer and master of classical guitar, blends Spanish Flamenco and American jazz rhythms into a new style of music.
