GLENDALE—The Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society Western USA Regional Executive has reorganized the Glendale-Burbank Chapter.
Having previously had a dynamic Hamazkayin team in Glendale, it would be fair to say that the committee will be reorganized and that all the existing members are invited to proceed with their community work.
At this stage of the reorganization, a planning team has been appointed, whose next meeting will be held Tuesday, September 8, at the Peshekerian Center, 104 N. Belmont, at 8:30 p.m.. Interested individuals are invited to attend the meeting.
The planning team has already organized a dinner-meeting with renowned photojournalist Harry Koundakjian. The event will take place on Tuesday, September 15, at Notte Luna Restaurant in Glendale, at 7:30 p.m.
During the dinner, guests will have the opportunity to join Hamazkayin members in an informal discussion with the New York-based multiple-award winning journalist who has worked at the Associated Press for most of his career.
Dinner tickets cost $ 40 per person. Seats are limited. Please make reservation by contacting Aline Bezdiguian at (818) 547-4262 / (818) 261-8647 as soon as possible.
The L.A. community will get the opportunity to become acquainted with Harry Koundakjian’s work at an exhibition organized by the AGBU in the organization’s Pasadena center, which will last from Friday, September 11 to Sunday September 13. Koundakjian will personally introduce his work to the guests at the opening night, on Friday.
The Hamazkayin Glendale-Burbank planning team encourages its members and supporters to attend the exhibition.
