Sarkisian in Phone Conversation with Lebanese Counterpart

BEIRUT (ArmRadio)–Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian had a phone conversation Tuesday with the President of Lebanon, Michel Suleiman, the President’s press office reported.

The phone call comes days before the President is set to depart on a tour of major cities in the Armenian Diaspora where he will try and muster support for his conciliatory policy toward Turkey. He will visit Lebanon, Los Angeles, New York, Paris and Rostov.

During the conversation, Sarkisian emphasized the special sympathy of the people of Lebanon for Armenians.

According to the Armenian President’s press office, Sarkisian and Suleiman highly appreciated the close friendly relations between the two countries, stressing the great role of the Lebanese Armenian community in the development of the friendly Armenian-Lebanese relations.

The Presidents exchanged views on the perspectives of development of bilateral relations
