ANKARA (Hurriyet)–The director of the FBI, Robert S. Mueller, visited Ankara on Wednesday for consultations with his Turkish counterparts about ongoing cooperation on counter-terrorism and law enforcement.
“Turkey is one of our key partners in the global struggle against terrorism and we strongly support Turkey’s efforts against the PKK terrorist organization,” read the media note issued by the U.S. Embassy on Wednesday.
The FBI and the Turkish National Police have a long history of working together in the fight against terrorism and transnational organized crime, it said. “We are looking forward to an exchange of views on opportunities for even closer and more effective cooperation in our common struggle against terror and law-breakers.”
While in Ankara, Mueller met with State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Cicek, Justice Minister Sadullah Ergin and the Director General of the Turkish Police Department Oguz Kagan Koksal.
It is apparent that some in the FBI have been taking bribes by Turkey in order to gather survielance for Turkish purposes. This is one of the people who had been bribed. There is a reason why nobody at the FBI wants to talk about Hoover who used dress in woman’s clothes and gather information on innocent people just in case they found out he was gay. That is not a proud legacy to carry forward.
