ANKARA (Trend.az)–The normalization of the Turkish-Armenian relations is not connected with Ankara’s efforts at gaining entry into the European Union, Turkish President Abdullah Gul said in an interview CNN Turk on Monday.
“Turkish-Armenian, North Cyprus questions have no connection with Turkey’s accession to the EU,” said, adding that Turkey pursues a “transparent policy” in the region.
Gul also said that some forces in Europe intend to exploit Turkey, stating that these problems present obstacle to Ankara’s accession to the EU.
He said that for Turkey, peace and stability in the Caucasus is “very important” and that Ankara will solve regional problems whether or not it is accepted into the EU.
“The Caucasus should not be a wall dividing East and West, the protracted conflicts should be resolved in the region,” Gul said, referring to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Right ! Turkey should not be a wall dividing East and West , it should stop blockading Armenia and open its borders without preconditions and stop denying the Armenian Genocide
talk about being in denial ! the Kurdish problem the Cyprus issue and the Armenian and they still claim to be a peace maker in the region and want in to EU, is anyone else having as much fun as me, yeah, lets make sure he gets one interview a day please ! Please, let him pursue, more transparency, in the region.
Hye, as usual, Turk Gul lies, lies, lies… and Turk Gul believes his own lies, lies, lies.
The European Union – Turk Gul obviously seeks joining the European Union…. to spread the Turks even further for a greater Turkey. Obviously, lies, lies, lies. World wake up – would you want a Turkey for neighboring your country? See what Armenians have to contend with?
Lies, lies, and more lies, unending… Ploys, ploys, and more ploys, unending….

Joining of turkey into European Union will be the begining and the end of European Union! Wake up Europe!
I totally agree! There is already an “infestation” of turks in Germany and they are still not able to cope with European life or mentality. An article from The Local, a German newspaper, quotes “many Turks have been in Germany for nearly 50 years they are the least well integrated of all immigrant communities.” http://www.thelocal.de/society/20091119-23389.html
It will be years before they get into the EU (if they do at all)… most of the chapters for acensions talks are already frozen!
