TEHRAN (FNA)–Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Amir Mansour Borqe’i called on Iranian and Armenian officials to use “all existing potentials and capabilities” to increase trade ties and exchanges between the two countries.
“Iran and Armenia should use all the existing potentials to expand commercial activities and mutual investment by the (two countries’) private sector,” Borqe’i said on Tuesday, addressing an international conference here in Tehran on the trade and investment opportunities in Armenia.
“We believe that private sector investors can assess investment opportunities in the two countries better than the state can,” he added.
Borqe’i said Iran is Armenia’s seventh largest economic partner, but this place is not appropriate for the two countries’ relations. He further urged for the promotion of economic ties between Tehran and Yerevan.
He described the development of infrastructure networks linking the two countries as an introductory move for the expansion of all-out ties between the two countries, and called on Iranian and Armenian officials to do their best in this regard.
Ah yes, I thought so. As I have said before, we don’t need the borders in Western Armenia opened up.
Here is what Armenia has that the US would prefer it not have: 1) a border with Iran through Artsagh; 2) Uranium; 3) trade of goods and services, and: 4) missile range to shoot down any missile interceptors.
Here is what Armenia wants: 1) Recognition of the Armenian Genocide; 2) entry into the EU; 3) liberation of all Armenian territories from the barbarians; 4) reparations and compensation for the loss of human life and wealth.
Here is why the US cannot trust Turkey: 1) it refused the US use of its ports and land to invade Iraq 2) the Soviet Union has been dissolved and is no longer a threat. The threat now comes from the Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism.
In order to show good faith and for it to reclaim the higher moral ground, the United States has to recognize the Armenian genocide for national security reasons of course.
BOTH IRANIAN AND ARMENIAN PEOPLE AND AUTHORITIES SHOULD BE AWARE AND WORRY THAT GEOPOLITICALLY, KARABAK (ARTSAKH) UNDER THE AZERBAIJANI RULE IS AGAINST THE SECURITY, SOVEREIGNTY AND TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY OF BOTH NATIONS —————————————————————————————————————– The ARF representative Artsvik Minasyan on February 8 dwelt on his visit to Iran to take part in the conference dedicated to Hay Dat. Proceeding from his impressions, Artsvik Minasyan noted that the Turkish current policy worries Iran especially from the point that 20 million Azeris live in the Northern Iran. According to Minasyan, this circumstance makes the return of security areas adjacent to Karabakh to Azerbaijan unacceptable.
Artsvik Minasyan drew attention to the content of the Armenian-Iranian cooperation noting that many Iranians come to Armenia looking for free life which is to be taken into account to take our cooperation to a more grounded plane.
this maybe getting ahead of the deal, but we have to draw the line on selling land to foreigners. they can only lease the land, is what i want to see happen, even if they marry an Armenian no none Armenian can own the land. like Mexico, no American citizen can purchase land or homes, hotels and businesses, they have to lease it for 99years.
